Looking for something quick and easy to rustle up this Halloween? Why not try my Spooky Halloween Popcorn mix which features Reece’s Pieces, Milky Way Stars and some gooey-eyeballs? It’s insanely easy and you can mix and match with whatever sweet treats you already have!
Is it weird that popcorn is one of my favourite foods? I absolutely love popcorn and we always have a packet of popcorn kernels in the cupboard. I love trying all the different flavoured popcorns, the weirder the better!
What I love about this particular popcorn mix is that it’s super easy to throw together with whatever candy you might have in your pantry. If you don’t want to use Reece’s Pieces these could easily be swapped out for Smarties. Prefer white chocolate? Throw in some white chocolate buttons. Got random sweets that need using up? Throw them in too! You could also add some other treats such as pretzel sticks or cereal.
Personally, I do like to season the popcorn with salt and sugar but you could omit these if you’d like to keep things a bit healthier.
I tend to make my popcorn on the hob, but you could also use a popcorn maker if you wanted to (something I should probably invest in myself considering how many burnt popcorns I sometimes end up with!).
Making popcorn with kids a great but easy activity and this is a super easy recipe that the whole family can get involved with making.

This recipe uses 100 grams of popcorn kernels which make roughly the same as popped popcorn. Most supermarket bags of popcorn tend to be between 85 grams and 100 grams so should be fine to use for this recipe if you’d rather not pop your own. You could also double or triple the amount of popcorn and candy used if you’re planning to cater for a large crowd.
So, why not make this popcorn mix this Halloween when you snuggle up with your family to watch a spooky movie? My absolute favourite Halloween movie has to be The Addams Family Values, although I must admit I love it so much I’m happy to watch it any time of year!

Do I Need Any Equipment For This Recipe?
No special equipment is needed unless you already have a popcorn maker you’d like to use. All you’ll need is a good-sized saucepan with a lid and a bowl to mix up the popcorn and other ingredients. You might also need some cling film if you plan to make this recipe ahead of time.
While I always like to eat popcorn when it’s fresh from the pan, it’s best eaten on the day it’s made. Make it in the morning for an evening movie but I wouldn’t advise leaving it any longer than this.
