As a huge fan of Italian food, especially pasta, I’ve been wanting to try Pasta Evangelists for a while. I was eventually tempted by a very good sign-up offer and the fact I was feeling pretty bored with our usual weeknight dinners. Despite the fact I used to be a chef, I still get stuck in a rut of cooking the same things week in, and week out.

One of my favourite things to do is try and recreate my favourite restaurant meals at home. Sometimes I’ll make the whole dish, sometimes I’ll have a craving for just one or two side dishes. Nandos Macho Peas are a perfect example of this. I love eating them at Nandos but they also go perfectly with lots of other dishes too. It’s also a great way to make the humble pea much more exciting.
